Another very frosty Saturday morning, with a few course tweaks here and there meant that all of our local Parkruns were still on – this meant we had 22 running Striders and our hardy volunteers Ian Crompton & Dave Keegan doing a brilliant job marshalling the tricky conditions – thanks very much chaps!
The icy conditions meant our PB monkeys were under strict instructions to stay in bed, with which they duly obliged :D
Well done to Jamie Atkinson who took 7th place at Markeaton, a week after setting a new MV55 club record at Alvaston (19:33)! Congratulations Jamie!
We also had a bit of tourism going on, with Chris Halliday having a first crack at Shrewsbury, while Richard Jackson was up at Dalby Forest in Yorkshire, well done both!
We have our next Striders Tourist Trip at Watermead Country Park (just North of Leicester) next week, be great to see lots there (but keep something in the tank for the XC or Bolsover 10k the next day!!)
