Here’s the results from some more busy Striders over the last few days. Starting off with Andy Powell doing Matlock AC’s Ricky’s Race at Darley Bridge, near Darley Dale on Thursday evening. This was followed by Pascale Holden doing Hob Hursts fell race in the Offroad Championships on the Friday evening. Then on Sunday we had a team of Striders head down to Birmingham for the Solihull Running Festival in the Road Championship, where we had 4 doing the 10k and 4 the Half Marathon!
In the 10k Jerry Evans came 1st in his Age Cat and Liz Phillips came 2nd in hers, while Rob Higson managed to sneak in under 46 mins after giving it all the day before with his Parkrun! Paul Phillips was in fairly unfamiliar territory but judging by the time didn’t get lost :D
In the Half Marathon, James Realey had a brilliant race, getting his PB with a cracking time! Andrew Miller wasn’t too far behind him and wants to say a big thank you to James’ Dad, Neil Realey for dragging him round (almost literally on the hills), Andy says he wouldn’t have got the time without Neils help! Tim Stokes had a good run in preparation for his upcoming GNR & Sally Cartwright somehow managed to run a Half Marathon after just getting back from 2 weeks in Sunny Spain!
