Last night, 48 running Striders plus lots of volunteers and supporters had yet another fantastic night at the Hairy Helmet relay race! As is often the case with this superbly organised event, the sun was shining, making it a lovely evening for all! Great running from everyone, and especially well done for ‘Escape to Shelton’ who came 2nd team overall, and ‘Lock, Stock and 4 Smoking Striders’ & ‘Shelton Avengers’ for winning their Categories!
Huge thanks to Tim Spate, Paul Pearce and Sam Pearch for organising, re-organising the teams, and sorting out the tent, Striders flag etc, you all did a wonderful job!

While I’m here talking about races, Chris Halliday sneaked yet another race in on Thursday evening! This time it was the ‘Chase the Sun 10 mile’ in Leicestershire – well done for notching up another race around your working shifts, great running mate!
