Here’s the results for the 2nd of 8 Dave Denton Midweek races on Wednesday. 

Congratulations to Liz Phillips for again breaking her own club record in the 1 mile, FV50! Great time Liz, well done :)

While we’re talking records, congratulations too to Gerrard Moss whose times in the London Marathon broke the MV70 Marathon Record (03:43:27) and created a new Record for MV70 Half Marathon! (01:51:23) – really impressive running Gerrard!

One more thing, a bit different too – I forgot to congratulate Andrew Miller for his amazing ‘Race Walk’ at our Shelton Striders 10k – Andy race-walked the 10k in an incredible time of 00:47:57 !! Wow, absolutely brilliant walking Andy! Whilst we can’t officially recognise this as it wasn’t an actual ‘Race Walk’ Race(!), I’m going to put an entry on our records page, to mark this as I feel it deserves a place (and as Andy pointed out he was ‘Striding’ for Shelton :) )
