Race Results – Atlantic Coast Challenge – 7th to 9th October 2022

At the weekend we had 2 Striders Julie Corby & Christine Purslow down in Cornwall to take on the ‘Atlantic Coast Challenge’ – 3 days of coastal running – sounds beautiful but incredibly gruelling as well! If you want to know more here’s the link: https://www.votwo.co.uk/atlantic-coast-challenge

This is what they were tasked with!

• Day One, 42.2 KM: Nr Padstow – Perranporth

• Day Two, 42.2 KM:  Perranporth – St Ives Bay Holiday Park

• Day Three, 44.3 KM:  Lelant – Lands End

Unfortunately Julie had to retire due to a re-occurring injury – but she still managed to do a brilliant 13 miles, wow well done Julie! Sorry to hear about the injury, but glad you managed to enjoy the beautiful coast area on your walk the following day :)

Christine did an amazing job, completing the 3 days, 128.7 Km and over 24 hours of running in total – incredible achievement Christine, well done! Hope you’re recovering well :)
