Great Northern 10k, Half Marathon and Fun Run – 6th May 2019

Starting with the fun run… there seems to have been just 2 Striders in this event. I say “seems” because Luke Bremmer came home 17th in a time of 10:14 although, unusually for Luke, it didn’t show him as a Strider. And William Atkinson… he seems to have come home first in a time of 7:13 (this is likely to be a club record) although for some obscure reason the published results by the timing company START at 2nd place! I have never seen that before. Although at 1 recent race there was an option related to data privacy that meant neither your name nor club would get published – just your bib and time. Weird things are afoot so watch out chaps. 

And now… the 10k and half. Great running by everyone and well done.
