Dave “I run everywhere” Keegan made his way over to Hinckley (the only strider) and took part in this undulating half marathon. It was very windy but the rain held off in order for Dave to finish in 1.59.23 coming 358th out of 569 & 5th vet 65! Well done Dave!

Dan Siddons entered this tough 4 mile off road race held in Leicestershire on Wednesday night on behalf of the Striders.   He did fantastic winning the race in a time of 23.48. Well done Dan.

I run everywhere Dave Keegan was the only Shelton Strider to enter this 10k trail race. He came 48th out of 72 runners. 2nd vet 60 and got a bottle of wine. It is a lovely course uphill to high peak trail across fields then a run back down the trail past Middleton Top and downhill

Always a favourite by many striders, 15 of them set out to run the 13.5 miles off road race set in the beautiful countryside. More good results followed with:- Rob Donald in 1.28.11 and 6th overall Ian Crompton in 1.37.36 Kenny Malton in 1.41.46 Andy Bradley in 1.52.39 (having done the Lichfield the day before)

We had 15 Striders out of 1106 runners entered into this undulating half marathon on a lovely sunny Sunday morning. First in for the blue and white stripes was: Patrick Munro            1.25.20 and 25th overall Gareth Brown            1.26.27 Andy Bradley          

This is a tough 4 mile race with a 2 mile 400ft hill climb to the monument then downhill off road/trail run all the way back down again. This is a short sharp lung buster and is nothing short of painful! Three striders completed this tough challenge, the results as follows:- Kenny Malton 4th overall

Not content with winning her age category in the Derby Runner XC league before the last race on Sunday. Feedback from her dad suggests that she is a very talented runner. Clodagh ran in the Derbyshire Xcountry trials on Tuesday 25th Feb and qualified (top 8 finish) for the county girls junior team to run

One of our newer members, Dan Siddons is making himself known by competing in the Watford Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd February. He certainly nailed it by finishing in an absolutely fantastic time and a PB of 1hr16min. Well done Dan….amazing effort!
