Another bank holiday weekend (could get used to these!), this time for King Charles III Coronation, we had 28 Striders getting out running at 6 different events!
At Alvaston, Liam Regan came in 7th place, getting closer to his PB each week. It was also pacers week, so Eamonn Hughes, Ray Evans & myself had a go at helping people get the times they wanted, great fun and really rewarding, have a go if you’ve never done before (1st Saturday of the month at Alvaston). We also had Dave Keegan & Jerry Evans marshallng, thanks very much folks!
At Markeaton Marin Kerr took 1st and this time also got his course PB! Well done Martin!
Out and about, we had Striders trying out some new courses (for them) – Chris Halliday at Rotherham, Pascale Holden at Sherwood Pines, Hazel Baxter at Isabel Trail in Stafford and Liz Phillips & Paul Phillips at Bramshall Road in Uttoxeter! Liz & Paul reported that Uttoxeter was a good choice:
“A decent test without being a killer. Well organised three laps so a mix of Ashbourne and Beeston I would say.
The gravel path is a bit uneven, a bit on grass and the rest is asphalt. Great atmosphere definitely be doing it again.”
