XC_2025

So the Cross Country season is over for another year, just wanted to say a big thank you and well done to Team Shelton Striders! Thanks to everyone who has both helped out and taken part in making this XC season such a success. We’ve had 6 fixtures with lots of fun along the way,

  Last Sunday 16th Feb we had 13 Striders running at Allestree Park Cross Country, which gave us enough to score again and we maintained our 5th place in the league! Big thanks also to Graham Donald for marshalling, supporting and taking our pics! A fantastic turnout, well done everyone – especially with other Striders

 Well done to all the Striders who turned out for the 4th Cross Country fixture, this time at Boothorpe near Conkers! We managed to field complete Ladies & Mens teams, so the results count and we’ve moved up to 5th in the overall league table! Very good running folks, and well done to Megan Price-Evans

Here’s the results for the latest XC fixture, the 3rd for this season – so we’re at halfway point and sitting pretty in the league in 6th place overall! – well done everyone! Another really good fun morning was had by all, with Daniel Butcher & Lyndsay Wiles also providing us with some lovely post-race

On Saturday 4th January it was time for the Annual County XC championships, this year at a very cold and icy Shipley Park. We had 5 Striders out there competing (Martin was running for his 1st Claim, Derby AC, but he’s 2nd claim for us and he’ll always be part of our Striders team :)
