A big Well Done to all those that ran in the 2024 Shelton Striders 10K, we hope that you all enjoyed the event.

The race was won by Richard Weir from Heanor Running Club in a fast time of 31:51 with Abbey Van Dijk from Run 4 U and Perform Running Club being the first lady home

NOTE: Male and Female age category prizes for the winners of FV35, FV45, FV55, FV65, MV40, MV50, MV60 and MV70 will be in the form of a Derby Runner voucher and will be posted out after the race once results have been verified. For anyone in a different age bracket you will be included in the one below. Runners will only be awarded one prize if they achieve a 1/2/3 finish and an age category win.

10K Route: To infinity and beyond!
A new route as first used in 2021 with the start and finish in the same position near the Community Centre, incorporating the canal path and pathways but also using Infinity Way. The race village/HQ remaining in the same location as always. It is a flat and fast course with potential for a PB. Minor course change in 2022 to moved the start close to the finish and to add an extra loop in before the finish (10K Course)
 
Fun Run Route: The fun run is a race of approximately 2 miles and uses the same start and finish as the 10K race on the old canal path. The route uses the old canal path with the majority of the run being round the nearby fields
