A cool and drizzly morning on Saturday marked the first Parkrun of meteorological summer. A minimum of 28 Striders visited 10 different venues. Why a minimum? Because there was an issue in uploading the results at Long Eaton and at least one Strider was missed off the results – me!
Within the results we had 7 First Timers and 3 new PB’s. A special mention has to go to Matt Henning who was at Meijo Koen in Japan. Pretty sure it was a first time for Matt, but since it’s in Japanese, that’s a bit of a leap of faith. Paul Phillips took 8 seconds off his PB at Black Rocks coming home in 34:10. At Alvaston Sam Kitchen broke his PB which was set in August 2021 with a time of 20:52. Likewise Samantha Spate lowered her PB to 24:56, her previous best set in September 2022.
Now for the First Timers:
Long Eaton – Nurkan Dogruel 27:05
Sheffield Castle – Chris Sharp 28:34, Gloria Lagou 30:23
Perry Hall – Hazel Baxter 27:10
Letchworth – Matthew Glazier 22:58
Meijo Koen – Matthew Henning 25:46
Coronation – Naimah Hameed 31:37
With Hairy Helmet on Friday, we might struggle for PB’s this weekend, but you never know?🤔
