Another very busy weekend as the autumn races start gathering pace. So here we go with the round up for the first Autumn Parkrun of the year – that’s meteorological autumn.
27 Striders took part at 5 different venues, and we had PB’s again. Starting off at Shipley this week as it was their 300th event and 263 runners took part including 1 Strider 🤔. Ian Crompton was also a lone Strider at Lytham Hall, but that didn’t stop him from getting a 23:46 PB. Another lone Strider was Naimah Hameed at Conkers. 9 Striders were at the familiar Markeaton Parkrun, whilst 14 graced Alvaston, and that is where we saw another 2 PB’s. Erin Hughes clocked 31:59 to improve her PB by nearly 3 minutes – well done Erin. Brian Thomas proved there’s life in the old dog yet by taking 9 seconds off his PB, achieving sub 19 for the first time with 18:51 – only joking 🙃 Brian.
Great running as always from all the Striders in Parkrun land – well done everyone.
