Derby Running Festival was held at Elvaston Castle on 25th August. It had 5k, 10k and Half Marathon options. One Strider took part in the Half Marathon and got a PB of 1:33:50 – well done Stephen Watson.
Rather than doing a Parkrun on Saturday, Chris Donald and Tracy Hepburn decided to complete the Peveril 33 Ultra. They both completed the 33 miles in a time of 11:06. Awesome running you two, an ultra effort indeed.
On Sunday 22 Striders completed the fast flat Wilne 10k. This year’s race had 1033 runners and the course record was smashed by 41 seconds by local runner Ben Connor in a time of 29:10 – now that’s rapid.
