A sunny morning and a big Striders turnout at Parkrun yesterday, with 38 of us running at 9 different events! We also had Chris Sharp volunteering at Markeaton and Pascale Holden & Steve Oliver at Alvaston – thanks very much folks!
At Alvaston, Brian Thomas continued his great form with a course PB, 19 mins bang on! It’s also great to see Daz Sheppard back on the parkrun results again! Well done Mr Shep!
It was our Striders tourist trip this week, with Charli Land, Amanda Jackson & Richard Jackson all taking on the Sence Valley parkrun, well done all of you, hope you had fun!
Also out touristing was Steve Hawkins at Torbay & Matt Henning & Julie Corby at Long Eaton. There was also first timers for James Realey at Sheffield Castle, Rob Higson up in the Peaks at at Monsal Trail, and Sally & Steve Cartwright were up enjoying a weekend in Newcastle and did the Jesmond Dene parkrun whilst there!
Then last but not least, 4 of us – Amanda Wilson, Hazel Baxter, Tim Stokes and myself all went to London for a fun weekend of sightseeing and parkrunning, taking on the really nice Valentines parkrun – a lovely park with a boating lake, old clock tower and lots of geese and ducks to keep us company. Their volunteers were also nice & enthusiastic, with one of them playing guitar as we passed by! :D
