In case you weren’t aware, today is Star Wars day (May the Forth) and lots of parkrunners up and down the country dusted off their light sabers to mark this! There may have been others, but I am aware that we had our very own Darth Stokes marshalling at Alvaston, with his trusty stormtroopers Eamonn Hughes, Andrew Miller & Lyndsay Wiles taking time out of battling Rebels to do a nice bit of pacing – thank you Lord Stokes et al!
Back on planet earth, we had a single PB once again and one ever-so-close PB-equalling run! Well done Jonny Branch for the PB at Long Eaton and Hazel Baxter at Alvaston for equalling hers & also getting 1st in her Age Cat – fantastic well done both of you!
Very well done to our Coach Gerrard Moss who at Long Eaton showed how it’s done and pipped everyone on Age Grade this week, with a massive 80.19% (and unsurprisingly 1st in his Age Cat!)
At Alvaston Liam Regan put in yet another solid run, only 3 secs off his PB and Dave Sullivan & Sharon Sullivan made a return, and were joined by Sharon’s daughter Lauren for her first ever parkrun – well done all of you!
Out and about this week Sally Cartwright & Steve Cartwright did their first time at the University of Northampton and Chris Sharp did his first at Battlestead Croft along with Naimah Hameed!
