Christmas came early for 34 Striders parkrunning at 7 events, with this being the first in a Christmas double-header! We also had 3 fantastic volunteers – Louise Hart, Luke Bremmer & Ray Evans at Alvaston – thanks very much all of you :)
At the beautiful & sunny Wollaton Hall it was our final Striders Tourist Trip for the year. We had 11 Striders taking on this tough but excellent course, with Richard Jackson, Liz Phillips & Sam James all getting PBs! It was also a first go at this course for Paul Pearce, Andy Lucas and Sally & Hannah Cartwright – well done all of you! It was a lovely way to spend a Christmas Eve morning, thanks to all that came and Charli Land for all her hard work in organising these trips for us!
Elsewhere, we had Martin Kerr back home in Kilmarnock and getting 3rd place and his PB at Dean Castle! At Shipley Matt Bailey & Marcel Darling had their first go, with Matt coming in 3rd place & Marcel 6th! Hazel Baxter also go her PB at Alvaston and Chris Halliday did his first run, at Northampton! Well done all of you!
