Parkrun

Parkrun Results – 17th September 2022

After last weeks soggy Saturday Parkruns, 20 Striders ran at 5 events and were treated with some lovely sunshine :) Numbers were a bit lower this week – maybe due to upcoming races & London Marathon prep, 2 weeks away, which reminds me that our own Shelton Striders 10k is only 3 weeks away, exciting times!

We had Striders volunteering too, so thanks very much to Rach Farrow, Matthew Glazier & Tim Stokes at Markeaton, Ian Crompton & Steve Oliver at Alvaston!

At Markeaton, Martin Kerr ran well and held off a Burton AC runner, to take 1st place by 1 second – brilliant Martin!
Alvaston saw Luke Inglis as first Strider and Andrew Miller doing another excellent race-walk getting his latest ‘comeback PB’! – well done! It was great to see Eamonn Hughes back out again after his latest bout of COVID, well done Eamonn a great comeback run :)

Chris Halliday did his latest tourist trip, this time down to Handsworth, North Birmingham for Perry Hall parkrun and came 7th – great run Chris on a new course! Charli Land & Rich Jackson took the short trip to the beautiful Wollaton Hall to take on their tough parkrun course!

Well done everyone – remember next week we have our next Striders Tourist Trip, this time to Long Eaton – hope to see you all there!
