Blimey you’ve all been a bit busy running this weekend! Lot’s of different races going on so I’ll get straight down to business…. 5 different Races today, The Stephen Price ‘Pricey’ Memorial 10k, The Great North Run, The Kenilworth Half Marathon, The New Forest 10k and the Lichfield 10k!!
It was good to see the return of the Stephen Price Memorial 10K, we had a great turnout, with 15 Striders running and others volunteering and supporting. Well done to Lyndsay Wiles who was very pleased to get her PB and under 60 mins, brilliant! Well done also to Steve Cartwright who got his ’40s’ PB the day after getting his Alvaston Parkrun PB, nicely done Steve :)

Up in the North East, Andrew Lucas became Striders latest Great North Run TV star – being spotted by a few fellow Striders!
Lyndsay & Dan Butcher visited Lyndsay’s family and also did the Great North Run! Glad to hear it went well, and that you took the opportunity for the famous 10 mile beer!

Paul Roome did the Kenilworth Half and was pleased with how his training is going, the race was apparently hilly and humid, but Paul didn’t let that stop him getting a good time, well done!
