Yesterday we had 29 Striders running, which is a great number considering we have the big local race today the Wilne 10k! We also had Ray Evans doing a brilliant job & cheering everyone on marshalling at Alvaston – thanks Ray!
Nice to see James Cunningham at Alvaston who came in top Strider there, Pascale Holden was also doing her first Parkrun in her shiny new V50 category – well done Pas great run – 3rd lady and 1st in Cat! It was also great to see Andrew Miller flying around the course speed walking!
At Markeaton there was little holding back from Paul Pearce who came in 2nd place, closely followed by Matt Bailey in 6th and Jamie Atkinson in 10th – well done lads!
Tourism wise, we had a few Striders fairly local and Chris Halliday went up for his first go at Chester!
