Yesterday a beautiful summers morning saw 33 Striders out and about, running at 5 parkrun events. We also had Striders volunteering, with Andy Brooks at Conkers and Ray Evans at Alvaston, thanks very much chaps, nice to see you Andy!
This week was our Striders Tourist outing down into the National Forest for the popular Conkers parkrun! We had 20 Striders at this event alone, with it being the first visit for 8 of the gang. Thanks for the big turnout folks – it was brilliant to see everyone at such a great, well organised and friendly parkrun :)
Paul Pearce marked his first run at Conkers with a brilliant 3rd place finish, and for Richard Jackson it was a PB day too, well done lads!
Other Tourist trips were made by Neil Hancock to Ashbourne and Paul Roome to Hastings High School in Hinckley (not on the South coast as I was expecting!)
Well done everyone! Our next Parkrun get together is 11th September for the Striders Parkrun Championship at Alvaston, then on 25th September our next Tourist trip is only a stones throw away at Long Eaton! Hope to see lots there for that one too!
