This weekend we had 24 Striders parkrunning at 7 events, with half of these at Markeaton! We also had Ray Evans volunteering once again at Alvaston, thanks very much Ray!
‘Tourist of the week’ has to go to Andrew Miller for flying the Striders flag in Italy, taking on Roma Pineto parkrun (one of only 34 runners there!), brilliant Andrew! Chris Halliday also ventured out for his latest tourist trip to Irchester parkrun near Northampton, doing his first run there, well done Chris!
Back home, at Alvaston, Brian Thomas continued his excellent comeback form, getting a course PB and sub-20, well done Brian, great to see! At Ashbourne rec, Alex Hall also got her course PB and sub-30, brilliant well done Alex!
Next weekend we have our latest fixture in the Striders Parkrun Championship at Alvaston, hopefully see lots of you there! :)
