A jam packed weekend of racing didn’t deter 17 running Striders still getting their parkrun fix across 5 events!
We also had lots of Striders as ‘high-vis-heroes’ volunteering: Liz, Paul & Sean Phillips at Markeaton, Eamonn Hughes & Lyndsay Wiles at Long Eaton, and Raymond Evans at Alvaston – thanks very much folks!
Our Parkrun tourism expert Amanda Wilson ventured all the way down to a stunning Lands End parkrun. At Markeaton, Matt Bailey got an impressive 5th place. At Long Eaton, Chris Halliday and Eamonn Hughes went up against GB Elite Gemma Steel and she drove Chris on to a course PB!
Fantastic Parkrun turnout again Striders, especially with some of you racing the Colin Potter 10k the night before too, impressive!
