Well done to all of the Striders racing today at the beautiful Carsington Water. It’s always a fantastic, albeit challenging race. I notice they’ve stuck with the same 7.5 ‘covid route’ rather than the old 7.76 miles, maybe this will stay as a permanent route?
We also had Steve Aynsley up at the crack of dawn to setup his equipment and entertain the crowds with his brilliant MC’ing, and Alex Hall, Paul Webster and Steve Oliver there volunteering too, big thanks all of you!
Great results from all – including a 6th place finish from Kenny Malton, a course PB and 2nd F50 category finish from Liz Phillips (only a day after breaking the club 5k FV50 record, wow!) Sally Cartwright also continued her amazing form by getting a course PB too, well done all of you, very much deserved :)
Well done also to Lyndsay Wiles for running her first race as a Strider, hope you enjoyed it Lyndsay!
I also notice Eamonn Hughes & Paul Phillips choosing to stay close together to ensure they didn’t get lost, wise decision lads (and that’s coming from me who had a bit of a struggle there once :D)
