This is a 50 mile event around Derby and was held on a very warm and sticky day. Conditions on the day meant, sadly, that not all Striders who started managed to finish and while 7 Striders did manage to finish, each had their own tale to tell of the difficulties the weather brought.
Unusually the event was won by a female runner but Sam was 3rd male runner home – after a few extra miles added accidentally.
