A large contingent Striders finished this event – 48 in total. Well done guys – you all did brilliantly. Sadly a runner died in the heat of the event and everyone’s thoughts go out to his family and friends.
Christine Purslow also took time out of her race to give aid to another runner who was in trouble – it was a very tough day for running a half marathon. Well done Christine, yet again another Strider showing the Strider spirit of supporting fellows in difficulty.
It would also appear that Sam, Kenny, Tim and Brian brought the men’s team prize home to Shelton. A big hand to you guys.
