Bill Mitchell – catchup since 100 marathons

This post is well worth a “look see” but will work best on a laptop or desktop.For those of you who don’t know Bill he is one of our more senior runners and last year, Just a month after his 71st birthday he completed his 100th marathon, The Robin Hood in Nottingham, after running his first at the age of 65. Since then he has continued running more marathons of one length or another. These are the post “100” marathons and below are the “Getting There” from race 48 -100. Excellent running and best of luck for the Marathon De Sables.

102 25/10/2015 Leicester good day for the run, this race does a mixture of areas to in city, by passes, and parks, pb on this course worth doing 4.22.35
103 31/10/2015 Spooky Halloween third time on this course This was really good fun requiring Halloween dress, race started at 4.30 pm which meant you were soon running in the dark this is a 32 lap trail race with two hills in it. and is quite a challenge with 64 hills, these are small but testing. These are very friendly races, with a more social atmosphere than the larger races. great 5.23.22
104 04/11/2015 November nightmare This a 28mile run of four laps up and down a disused rail track, yet again small and friendly great 5.28.3
105 14/11/2015 Raceways or Shakespeare second time dead flat on old airfield 8 laps very exposed if windy or wet.    not bad a bit boring 4.48.50
106 15/11/2015 A20 South downs third time good weather good run and hilly and interesting. worth the journey. worth doing 5.06.42

108 06/12/2015 Malaga third time weather has been great each year nice to have the sun again, race does do quite a bit close to the coast, but it is all road course as changed the last three years so this does make it a bit of an unknown. 4.42.56
