It was the morning after the (Club) night before, for some of our Treasure Hunting Striders! With pizza and drinks still washing around in them, they weren’t to be deterred from their weekly Parkrun, and some are even to be found doing the Smalley 5 Bells later too! This week we had 26 runners at 3 different events, with lots of volunteers out at Alvaston – thanks very much to: Ian Crompton, Rob Higson, Eamonn Hughes, Steve Cartwright, Denise Robertson, Steve Oliver.
From what I can see there were no PBs this week, however Henry Lucas had yet another great run at Alvaston, only 2 secs from getting another PB! Well done again Henry & Dad Andy!
On the back of a cracking Ramathon race, Jonny Branch didn’t hold back and did a brilliant 16:56 at Alvaston, only a few seconds off 1st place – well done Jonny! Quite a few Striders are continuing to bring those times down again, some I noticed are Brian Thomas, Rachel Farrow and Amanda Jackson! Gerrard Moss also got our highest Age Grade once again, 80.79%, and unsurprisingly 1st in Cat.
Elsewhere, Chris Sharp had his first go at Chasewater which is between Cannock & Lichfield. Then we had Tim & Sam Spate having their first outing at Battlestead Croft, near Burton. Nice touristing folks :)
