Despite the fact it’s the Ramathon/Ram 5 tomorrow, we still had 29 Striders running at 5 different events today!
With Markeaton cancelled, we had a great turnout at Alvaston, with 19 there running, 2 of which were volunteering as pacers Tim Stokes & Eamonn Hughes. We also had Dave Keegan volunteering – thank you folks!
Congratulations yet again to Henry Lucas, for being the only Strider to get a PB! Well done Henry and Dad Andy for pacing him – saying that, I’m not sure who is pacing who nowadays! :)
Out and about doing their tourist thing, we have (hot off the press) Hazel Baxter, 5 hours behind us all, visiting family in Canada and has just finished Ottawa-Carleton Trailway parkrun, coming home first lady, and her brother in law came first overall! :)
Elsewhere we had Amanda Wilson, sunning herself & doing her 92nd parkrun location down on the South coast at Lee-on-Solent – which looked amazing in the sunshine along the promenade. Any parkrun that has in their description “The meeting and start point are near to the beach huts” is always going to be a cracker!
We also had 5 Striders – Richard Jackson, Gloria Lagou, Chris Sharp, Amanda Jackson and Charli Land all having their first go at Sence Valley! A great course that, has it dried out now or still a muddy/boggy middle section?!
