This week it was time for our monthly Striders tourist event, unfortunately the selected event (Watermead) lived up to its name and was flooded! So Charli had to do a last minute switch to Markeaton this month! It was a good turnout there, with 13 Striders running and Liz Phillips & Ian Bell volunteering. It was also another good day for Liam Regan as he got another PB this time his course one at Markeaton. Pascale Holden also came in 3rd lady and 1st in her Age Cat! Great running both!
Elsewhere, we had 12 runners at Alvaston with Sally Cartwright, Steve Cartwright & Denise Robertson (& I presume Ruby) all volunteering – thanks very much all of you!
Amanda Wilson had her first go at the tough Bestwood Village in Notts with Hazel Baxter, and not too far from them Chris Sharp also had his first go at Brierley Forest in Huthwaite!
Well done as always folks, hopefully next months Tourist event will be a tad drier! Remember our next round of the Parkrun Championships at Alvaston is on 9th March! :)
