Congratulations to Liam Regan who ran a fantastic Parkrun at Alvaston yesterday and not only broke his PB, but got his 1st ever 1st place! Absolutely brilliant Liam! – getting the rewards for all of your consistent performances!
While we’re on PB’s, another brilliant run yesterday was from Lyndsay Wiles who smashed hers at Alvaston – well done Lyndsay you breezed it!
Well done also to Dave Keegan volunteering at Alvaston & Ian Bell at Markeaton – thanks very much chaps!
Rachel Young was out with a friend doing her long run and managed to pull in her first go at Long Eaton!
Some brilliant tourism too this week – we had Martin Kerr over in Dublin and having a first go at Fairview, whilst Amanda Wilson did her 83rd Parkrun location with partner-in-crime Tim Stokes at Battlestead Croft near Burton!
Sally Cartwright & Steve Cartwright tried out Isabel Trail in Stafford, whilst Hannah Cartwright kept her good run going at Lincoln! (Shame the Rams couldn’t quite match Hannahs peformance in Lincoln!). Gloria Lagou & Chris Sharp had their first go at playing in the mud at Ashbourne and Rob Higson was on home turf once again at Tamworth and got his PB! Phew well done everyone lots of great running there!
Next week is our Striders tourist outing to the fantastic Shipley Country Park, lets get lots of us out there if we can (remember we have XC the next day – think I’ll go along for a steady one and a chin-wag :D )
