After the Christmas and New Year specials, it was business as usual for Saturday Parkruns, this week we had 34 Striders running at 8 different events. We also had volunteers at Alvaston – Steve Cartwright, Anna Hagan-Pearce, Eamonn Hughes, Dave Keegan and Denise Robertson with her Daughter Ruby who is doing her D of E – well done Ruby and everyone for volunteering!
It was a milestone day at Alvaston for Eamonn Hughes, who celebrated his 250th parkrun by pacing the Alvaston runners. Well done Eamonn, great achievement and you look over the moon about it! :D
Well done to Silke Krieger-Ford who has been a Strider for some time and started doing Parkruns at the end of last year, we now have her profile sorted so you’ll begin to see her results! Hope you’re enjoying the world of Parkrun Silke!
Elsewhere, we had James Realey having his first go at Shipley and Gloria Lagou & Chris Sharp back up in Scotland for Ganavan Sands. Neil Hancock had his first go at Clumber Park as did Liz Phillips & Julie Corby at the Monsal Trail parkrun and Leo Pickford was down near St Albans at the interestingly named Panshanger Park!
We also had a motley crew of 4 Striders – Amanda Wilson, Hazel Baxter, Sue Kinross & Tim Stokes who went along to try out the Tamworth Castle Grounds Parkrun – hope you had fun folks!
