Yesterday in glorious sunshine at the Valencia Marathon, Ethiopia’s Sisay Lemma ran an eye watering 2:01:46 and Great Britain’s Lily Partridge ran 2:25:12 giving her an Olympic Qualifying time! Wow that is amazing and fantastic news for Lily going in to Paris next year!
All that is incredibly impressive, but more importantly for us, there was also a lovely Team of Striders, friends & family having a fantastic holiday in the sun, with a Marathon thrown in for good measure!
Well done to Striders Jonny Branch, Sarah Branch, Jo Gregory, Paul Pearce & Daniel Butcher who all ran the Marathon, with Striders Anna Hagan-Pearce & Lyndsay Butcher, and Jonnys Mum Jill as support crew! Congratulations to Jonny who got a 16 second PB in the process – fantastic running and supporting all of you!
