A wet start to the weekend didn’t dampen the spirits of 31 Striders running at 6 different events, and Pascale Holden & Jethro, Eamonn Hughes & Jerry Evans volunteering at Alvaston, thanks very much all of you!
At Alvaston, Paul Pearce came in at 3rd place, with some fast Long Eaton runners around him due to their Parkrun being cancelled. Rachel Young notched up another parkrun and set another course PB too, well done both!
At Markeaton, Martin Kerr did his thing once again, adding another 1st place to his collection! Also at Markeaton, Sue Kinross (who has recently joined the club and has already thrown herself into Striders Parkrun Tourism and track sessions!) was the only one out of 10 Striders to get a PB – well done Sue, great to have you with us :D
Well done to another new member, Christopher Sharp who also did a bit of tourism having his first go at Belvoir Castle! Welcome to Striders Christopher! Hazel Baxter also added another new location to her Parkrun tally by going over to Gedling!
Well done everyone! Next week, it’s time for our monthly Striders Parkrun Championship at Alvaston – lets hope the rain keeps away and we have a bumper Striders turnout again! :D
