This week we had 33 parkrunning Striders at 4 events, with Jerry Evans running and volunteering at Alvaston, so thanks Jerry :)
With Markeaton again being cancelled it was time to try some fast flat ones, with Martin Kerr coming 2nd at Long Eaton in sub-17 and both Jamie Atkinson & Richie Wheatcroft getting course PBs there – great running folks!
Alvaston had 26 Striders running, and the PBs were also being smashed for Paul Roome, Matt Glazier & Henry Lucas (who just edged ahead of dad on this occasion!), with Sally Cartwright only just missing out on her PB by 1 second!
Paul Roome, Andy Miller, Liz Burgess & Harry Sloan all got 1st in their Age Cat too!
Not only that but huge congratulations to Harry Sloan who also smashed the Club Record for VM75, fantastic well done Harry!! :D
We only had 1 Tourist this week, with Hazel Baxter having her first go at Belvoir Castle as a ‘warm up’ for the 24 hour Equinox event!! Blimey that’s good going Hazel!
