Yesterday the torrential rain affected the overall Parkrun numbers slightly, but this didn’t stop 26 hardy Striders who ran at 5 events! Big thanks to all of the volunteers who gave their time to stand in the rain for us, we had Striders Dave Keegan at Alvaston & Amanda Wilson at Markeaton – thanks very much both of you!
At Markeaton we had 3 Striders in the top 10, with Martin Kerr adding another 1st place to his tally, Liam Regan 6th & Jamie Atkinson 8th, well done chaps!
A good turnout at Alvaston saw Paul Roome working hard once again and coming in 1st Strider and 11th overall. Paul has been putting in some fantastic training runs (including running to/from races!) and is starting to see the rewards once again, well done Paul great work mate!
Long Eaton had Richard and Amanda Jackson braving the rain and further afield we had Steve Hawkins on the South Coast at Torbay. Then we had Liz & Paul Phillips popping in to Sixfields Upton near Northampton, on the way back from a visit to family in the South!
Well done everyone for getting out in the rain and thanks to Rob Higson for last weeks results, you did a cracking job mate! :)
Remember folks – it is our next fixture in the Striders Parkrun Championships at Alvaston next Saturday – let’s hope for some dry weather and get lots of us down once again!
