This week we had 32 runners at 8 events with the wonderful Ray Evans again volunteering at Alvaston – thanks very much Ray!
It was our latest Striders Tourist Trip, this time down to Rosliston Forestry Centre. We had a great morning with 8 Striders there taking part on a lovely course in the National Forest. Jamie Atkinson & Rich Jackson getting there PBs (Jamie got 5th place too!). It was also the first time for Hazel Baxter & myself, lovely to see you all :)
We again had lots of other tourism going on, very widespread this week too!
Sarah Regan was working hard and getting her PB in Norfolk at Lowestoft. First timers at other courses were Amanda Jackson up at Prudhoe, just West of Newcastle, James Realey down South of London at Tooting Common and Sally & Steve Cartwright at a lovely looking coastal parkrun at Poolbeg in Dublin! Blimey well done Striders – some miles covered this weekend!
Elsewhere locally, Martin Kerr got yet another 1st place at Markeaton – brilliant consistency Martin, and
Chris Halliday is getting quicker every week, with his PB at Long Eaton – well done chaps!
Thanks to Charli Land for again sorting out our Tourist Parkrun – she’s also spun her spinner and the next one on 25th March is the tough sounding but much anticipated Bestwood Village! (which is across the border between Arnold & Hucknall, come on Striders lets show the Notts folk how it’s done! :D
