A breezy Saturday morning saw 35 Striders running at 8 events, with Ray Evans again volunteering at Alvaston – thanks very much Ray!
It was a big day at Beeston with 12 Striders heading over to celebrate Matt Hennings 250th Parkrun which was also his 100th at Beeston – brilliant achievement Matt! He had a shout out at the brief and Sarah the Run Director took this picture of us all (I think we’ll be in the run report too :D ). PB’s were achieved by both Hannah Cartwright & Steve Cartwright, with Sally Cartwright doing the parkrun then heading off for a 15 mile run home as part of her marathon training! Well done all of you!
Alex Hall also had a happy return to Beeston, with not a single fall during the whole course! Great result Alex!! :D

Elsewhere locally, at Markeaton, Martin Kerr had a brilliant run, only 3 secs off his PB and got yet another 1st place, well done Martin!
Tourist wise, it was a cracking week for Striders, with Amanda Wilson doing her 70th parkrun location with a trip to Arrow Valley, South of Birmingham. We had Rachel Farrow & Kenny Malton over at Sherwood Pines (Kenny got 4th place too!) and Chris Halliday at Watermead! It was also the week of the ‘how do you pronounce those parkruns’, with Hazel Baxter at Hafan Pwllheli in Wales (this looks an amazing course, along the beach – the entire course is on sand!!) and Matt Glazier way down in Cornwall at Lanhydrock near Bodmin!
