This week we had 22 Striders running in total, with Eamonn Hughes also volunteering at Long Eaton and Ray Evans & Dave Keegan volunteering at Alvaston – thanks very much all of you!
Those who opted for Long Eaton this week were treated to a run (and the chance to get lapped x number of times :D ) with Team GB elite Samantha Harrison – who came 1st place in 15:37 breaking the ladies national parkrun record at the same time! She did all that as ‘part of a hard training session’ and went on to do more rep training afterwards, wow! There were some incredibly fast runners at Long Eaton with the first 3 all doing sub-16 mins! Inspired by this Liz Phillips went on to get her PB too – well done!
Well done also to Sarah Regan who got her PB at Alvaston and to Amanda Wilson who did the Donaupark Parkrun whilst over in Vienna!
