An unusually mild November morning saw 30 Striders parkrunning in total, with 25 of these at Alvaston for our Parkrun Championship fixture! We also had 3 Striders volunteering and cheering us on at Alvaston, so thanks very much to Louise Hart, Sally Cartwright & Ray Evans!
At Alvaston, Paul Pearce put in a great 6th place performance, despite struggling with his injury – well done mate! Close behind him in 8th we had Andy Miller (who got a PB and an amazing 81.93% age grade, wow!), we had PBs for Liz Phillips (78.37% and 3rd lady!), Steve Randle (who’s improving every week!) and new member Sarah Regan! Margaret Cowling also had a cracking run, only 9 seconds off her PB and with an age grade of 75.99%! Fantastic running everyone!
Big thanks also to Daniel Butcher who had made some cakes and fed us all at the finish, cheers Dan very tasty!
Gerrard Moss managed to confuse me (not difficult admittedly), by looking like he was ahead of me on the final cone turn, then I looked at the results….. I assume you turned up late Gerrard?! Well done for still running it though!
Elsewhere we had 4 Striders at Markeaton and Chris Halliday at Pavilion Gardens Parkrun in Buxton, well done folks! Remember – we have our next Striders Tourist Trip on 26th November at Shipley! :D
