This week we had 24 Striders parkrunning at 7 events. Volunteering we had Steve Cartwright, Ray Evans & me at Alvaston. Eamonn Hughes did a cracking job pacing at Long Eaton, helping 6 runners get sub 35! Good preparation for our Shelton Striders 10k next week mate! Thanks very much for supporting folks :)
Congratulations to Liz Phillips who came 1st lady at Ashbourne (out of 50!), and Paul Phillips getting his PB there too! Lyndsay Wiles got her PB at Long Eaton, and Richard Jackson getting his PB at Brierley Forest – brilliant running all of you!
Some interesting Tourism too, with Sally Cartwright doing Ormeau parkrun in Belfast whilst on a weekend break, and Rach Farrow doing Fulham Palace parkrun whilst in the capital to support the marathon runners :)
Well done everyone, remember we don’t have our Parkrun Championship fixture next Saturday, due to our 10k the following day, it’s been moved to 15th October. We also have our next Tourist Trip confirmed as Rosliston on 29th October, which will be great as it’s a new one for some!
