Yesterday we had 30 Striders parkrunning at 6 events, many of which had run only 12 hours before at the Tara Kinder Memorial 10k, impressive stuff! We also had Amanda Wilson & Ray Evans volunteering at Markeaton & Alvaston, so thanks very much to you both! I also did barcode scanning at Markeaton, after running, which they really appreciate if they’re short on numbers – it’s a great way to help out and run, if you’re a 22 min ish or below runner :)
At Markeaton, Matt Bailey, on a roll after his brilliant Tara Kinder performance came in at 4th place, whilst Andrew Miller got his PB! Paul Webster & Lyndsay Wiles also got their PB’s at Alvaston! Well done folks amazing running!
Parkrun Tourism of the week definitely has to go to Sally & Steve Cartwright who did Hasenheide parkrun in Berlin whilst on holiday there! It’s good that they put a bit of a hill in halfway just for Steve’s benefit! ;) Well done both of you, enjoy the rest of your holiday!
Elsewhere, Neil Hancock notched up another over at Ashbourne & Chris Halliday went up to the edge of the Peak District to have his first crack at Glossop parkrun!
