This week we had 28 Striders running in total, with Jerry Evans and David Green volunteering (Alvaston/Ashbourne), thanks very much lads!
It was our latest Striders Tourist trip up to Ashbourne Recreation Ground Parkrun, where the sun was shining for us! For 13 of the 15 there, it was their first time, with Neil Hancock returning with an excellent run and PB, and David Green made sure everyone was ok by doing his Tail-walking! Amanda Wilson’s latest tourist trip took her total to an amazing 60 different parkrun locations, wow, well done Amanda – that’s the beauty of Parkrun!

It was a nice little 3 lap course mainly on grass, with a few undulating parts! (which I’m sure Steve Cartwright was disappointed at missing, whilst off sunning it in Spain!). As usual the Striders team had their post-parkrun debrief at the cafe :)
Liz Phillips and Paul Phillips made sure that their holiday up in the Lake District included lots of walking and, of course, a parkrun! They just happened to be staying only a mile away from Fell Foot Parkrun (accidental I’m sure!!) Both really enjoyed a tough but excellent course, well done!
Elsewhere, Martin Kerr returned to Markeaton for another 1st place and Brian Thomas also got another PB at Alvaston! Well done everyone, another successful parkrunning weekend for all :)
