Today a total of 7 Striders found out how their winter training had prepared them for a marathon or a half.
6 going up North to Manchester Marathon and 1 down South to London Landmarks Half!
What fantastic results from you all. Daniel Butcher taking on his first ever Marathon and smashing it, after committing to an excellent training plan provided by coach Gerrard Moss, great stuff!
I think Jonny Branch & Paul Pearce helped each other to get PB’s (sorry if I’m wrong!) with only 1 second between them, wow great running both of you!
Huge congratulations to Jamie Atkinson for getting an amazing sub 3hr time and in the process a club record at MV50 for the Marathon in 2:57:27! Even more impressive considering the problems Jamie has had with injuries over the last few months, well done!! Matt Bailey and Paul James Roome both came in with great results too, well done lads!
In London, Christine Duffy took on the Landmarks Half marathon and came in with an excellent time and big smiles at the finish, well done Christine!
So it was a very successful Super-Striders-Sunday, well done all of you and everyone who travelled with them to support! :)
