This event is a 14 km run from Sydney to the beach – but it goes over Heartbreak Hill which is steep enough to be a separate timed section.
Kelly Craven completed the event in 1:28:47 finishing 25,330th. Gareth Brown completed it in 1:0:28 finishing 4,239th. There were 65,242 finishers. Both were sporting the Striders vest.
