Bluebell Fell Race – 11th September 2016

Another of the short Headbanger races was held today and a great day for it after a damp Saturday but that didn’t stop 10 Striders making their way over to David Denton’s last fell race of the year? (Note: his mid-week races start on 14^th September). Starting & finishing from the Bluebell pub in Farnah Green, cannot be a fell race without a pub!!!

So, this was a 1^st Fell Race for Marie, Angela & George, all new members in the last year. Really great to see new Striders having a go and not being intimidated by the hills and rocks. I believe they actually enjoyed it !!!! but maybe a club vest or two might be needed. We all enjoyed a drink and a bit of banter sat in the glorious sunshine at the pub.
