On an eerily dark night with heavy rain impending six Striders made the journey to Chatsworth for the next instalment of the headbangers with points to be gained from those not present and what a race they missed, great scenery, cows jumping walls and chasing the bestest of runners and a little very heavy rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.
So with Kenny just 10 secs behind Rob, after a stunning run at the Rugby Rover on Sunday, will make things interesting. I think this might be the closest they have been all season and still plenty of races to go.
These two guys are really on form and having been representing the Striders at local races at the cutting edge all season (the 1st runner in tonight has run for England mountain team). What’s more hearing other runners saying “oh gonna get beaten again tonight by the Striders” is very encouraging for wanting to dig that bit deeper.
A great run from Vikki to be 1st female strider in, might have even been her 1st fell race? And Fiona finally managed to get the upper hand over both Andy Tiddy & Steve Hand from Derwent Runners.
