A bumper double issue this week, life admin got in the way last week 😊.
So last weekend (22nd November) we had 27 Striders at 7 different venues with 5 First Time tourists, unfortunately no PB’s – but there are some coming.
So the First Timers:
Sutton Park – Chris Sharp 25:48
Holbrooks – Naimah Hameed 32:16
Quakers – Adam Dominey 28:33
Coronation Park – Tim Spate 22:16, Sam Spate 27:00
Well this weekend was one of the wettest of the year – with a huge tree coming down across the Shipley course, a slight detour sorted that though.
So on to the detail. 29 Striders braved the elements at 8 different venues with 7 First Time tourists. Despite the appalling conditions 3 ladies broke PB’s. Amanda Jackson was at Redcar and took 1:07 off her previous best to clock 33:41, Hazel Baxter was at Tamworth Castle and broke her previous by 2:39 coming home in 26:10, meanwhile Amanda Wilson took 9 seconds of her best at Black Rocks with a time of 30:23.
