This week an unprecedented 38 Striders ran, and 2 volunteered at Alvaston for the first fixture in our new Parkrun Championship – Fantastic to see the Club colours everywhere you looked!! We also had 3 runners at other local parkruns, so a great turnout overall.

At Alvaston, Chris Wilshaw and Paul Pearce were at the sharp end, battling and pushing each other on and being rewarded with 2nd and 3rd place respectively – with Chris getting a PB and Paul his 2nd fastest time – well done chaps!
There was also 2nd lady for Pascale Holden and PBs for her, Daniel Butcher, Samantha James, Sally Cartwright and Daisy Darling – brilliant running all of you!
The next fixture in the Parkrun Championship is a Tourist trip to Beeston on 26th Feb – lets keep the momentum going and have a sea of Blue & White again!
