Not sure what the other 33 of you thought, but I certainly felt that this was the warmest run of the year so far, and it was humid. So the 34 of us attended 8 different venues and had 2 new PBs and 6 first time visitors.
7 Striders went on tour and visited Rosliston, 4 for the first time Patrick Munro, Eamonn Hughes, Tim Bentley and Sue Kinross. Richard Jackson and Charlotte Land were also first timers at Penrhyn, which is held at Penrhyn Castle in Llandegai – Bangor.
Henry Lucas was at it again setting a new PB at Markeaton, by just 1 second at 24:21, but it’s still the fastest he’s ever run there – as we always say, a PB is a PB! Martin Kerr completed his annual Dean Castle Parkrun in Kilmarnock and set a new PB of 17:40.
As usual we had representation at Alvaston, Shipley, Conner’s and Long Eaton.
It looks like the heatwave will have broken by next weekend, but it’s still looking sunny, probably much better running conditions for most.
No football comments, today! Too raw for Scotland and too early for England.
