At the weekend a group of 10 Striders/friends/family ventured over to Spain for this years running/eating/drinking holiday (not really in that order!). Looks like everyone had a brilliant weekend, I’m sure there’s plenty of stories to tell, but I’ll stick to the running part ;)
Well done to the 8 Striders – Steve Cartwright, Graham Donald, Neil Realey, James Realey, Lee Meakin, Chris Donald, Fiona Darling, Tracy Sexton Hepburn, who took on the Vi Fuengirola Half Marathon, in beautiful Spanish sunshine! Unfortunately Lee didn’t finish but hopefully he enjoyed his weekend still :)
Neil & James both came in with very fast times only just over the 1.5 hour mark, brilliant lads, especially in that heat! Also Christine came 4th in her age category & Neil 8th in his!
